How I Built a "Heart-Led" Quiz Using AI & Real Human Conversation (Step-by-Step)

I spent weeks on this, but it’s finally done.

I made a QUIZ!!!

We all know quizzes can be a goldmine for lead generation, but will it work for wellness/spirituality businesses? We need something that feels intuitive. Something that elicits some kind of emotion. Something that offers a soft landing rather than a hard sell.

I want to pull back the curtain and show you exactly how I went from a vague idea to a fully functioning lead magnet using Interact, Claude AI, and some good old-fashioned human connection.

Here is my step-by-step breakdown (plus the exact AI prompts I used!) so you can build one, too.

Step 1: Drafting the initial lead generation Quiz with AI

We got started by just playing around with the AI features inside Interact.

Real talk: Like anything with AI, the initial outputs were a little… dull. They were a great starting point if you have zero idea how a quiz should look, but they definitely needed some "zhuzhing" to feel like me.

I knew that a really GOOD quiz needs to elicit an emotional response. It can’t just be data collection; it has to be an experience.

So, I headed over to Claude AI and gave it this specific prompt:

The "Heart-Led" Prompt: "I'm creating a quiz that will lead someone to (program pillars), can you write the quiz for me. My clients are heart-led business owners who are in the wellness/fitness/spirituality/coaching & service provider space. This quiz NEEDS to elicit an emotional response and be fun/whimsical without being cheesy."

The resulting suggestion was: "What's Your Business Really Craving Right Now?"—a 2-minute intuitive check-in. It was a great start, but it still wasn’t quite right.

Step 2: Interviewing ideal clients

As much as I wanted to skip this step—I knew I needed to talk to my ideal clients before finalizing any kind of quiz.

I hopped on calls with a few of my ideal clients to chat. I wanted to hear the actual language they use when they talk about their business struggles.

And what I realized was that there’s a massive knowledge gap. My ideal clients described needing the kind of support that was exactly what I do as an Online Business Manager (OBM), but they had no idea that role even existed! They didn’t know they could hire someone to do what I do!!

Turns out, us OBMs are doing a terrible job of letting people know how we can help them!

If I had just stuck with the AI draft, I would have missed this crucial insight. The quiz needed to bridge the gap between their "symptoms" (overwhelm, chaos) and the "cure" (strategic support).

Step 3: Refining the questions with AI

I took those interview notes back to Claude. But this time, I used a prompt shared by a client to turn my AI into less of a sycophant and more of a critical thinker that stress-tests my ideas.

Copy this prompt if you want better AI results:

The "Critical Thinker" Prompt: "You're my elite, intellectual companion, and critical thinking partner. Your job is to challenge my ideas, refine my thinking, and enhance the clarity, depth, and originality of our discussions. Your role includes asking sharp probing questions, offering second-order thinking, challenging weak arguments, helping me stress test ideas, and bringing in insights from adjacent domains. When responding, don't default to agreement, treat me as a capable strategist or builder, and be clear, concise, and pragmatic, but never shallow."

Claude helped me brainstorm titles that were actually not all that bad:

  • The Confession: "What's Really Holding Your Business Together?"

  • The Permission Slip: "What Does Your Business Need You to Stop Doing?"

  • The Exhale: "How Does Your Business Want to Be Held Right Now?"

We analyzed the data and pulled together questions that specifically lead to my offers, ensuring the quiz segments my email list so everyone gets the right support for their stage of business.

Step 4: Building the quiz in Interact

Armed with my questions, my logic, and my results, I went back to Interact to build the quiz.

I decided to go with a "Seasons" vibe to match the energy of my Business Cocoon program. It felt more organic and less "corporate." The software made it super easy to map the logic—meaning, if someone answers "A" to most questions, they get the result that leads to the offer that solves "A".

You can find the quiz right on the home page of my website and it should help those unsure of what kind of support they need figure out which of my offers to start with!

Step 5: Automating the emails with Flodesk

Here is where the magic actually happens. A quiz is fun, but if the results just sit there, it’s not really doing anything for your business.

I decided to put the quiz into an opt-in delivery email. This segments my email list automatically, ensuring that the welcome sequence promotes the best offer for that specific person. I use Flodesk for this because it’s super easy to set up (and makes the emails look good).

Here's how I did that:

  1. Integration: Inside Interact, I turned on the Flodesk integration. It’s pretty seamless.

  2. Mapping the Segments: This is the important part. I created specific "Segments" inside Flodesk that matched the quiz results (e.g., a "Winter Season" segment). Then, inside Interact, I told the system: “If they get the Winter result, add them to the Winter Segment in Flodesk.”

  3. The Workflows: Once they are dropped into that segment, Flodesk automatically triggers a specific email workflow. This means I’m not sending a beginner-level offer to someone who is ready to scale, and vice versa.

It takes a minute to set up, but once it’s done, you can just let it run in the background.

One thing to note - I made it optional to opt-in to my email list rather than required it to get the results. Since this is about helping people find the right offers on my website, it felt more aligned to give them what they needed WHILE they were searching my website without insisting they join my email list first.

Quiz Ideas for Wellness & Spiritual Entrepreneurs

If you are in the wellness space you know that your audience is craving to be seen, not necessarily sold to. Here are a few "un-cheesy" quiz ideas you could try:

  • For Yoga Teachers: "What yoga classes do you need most right now?"

  • For Life Coaches: "What is Your Inner Child Trying to Tell You Right Now?"

  • For Nutritionists: "What is Your 'Stress Language'?" (Comfort eating, starving, etc.)

  • For Reiki/Energy Healers: "Where is Your Energy Leaking the Most?"
